On December 18, 2008 the twin baby girls made their arrival! Madeline Belle Massengill was born at 3:35 PM, weighing 4 pounds, and 17 inches long. Savannah Noel Massengill was born at 4:19 PM, weighing 4 pounds 11 ounces, and 18 1/2 inches long.
Because they were born early, they were sent to the NICU to monitor and assist in their breathing, eating and any other problems that might arise. With God's help, they progressed so much quicker than expected and on Christmas Day, Chris and I were able to take our precious girls home! It was a Christmas we will never, ever forget. We are so thankful to God for these two gifts, and are cherishing every moment we have with them while they are so small and so fragile. They are truly a packaged gift from above!
Finally taking them home from the hospital on Christmas Day!

Thanks for posting the pictures! It doesn't get any sweeter than seeing them cuddling with each other under the billy lights... Hang in there! Soon they'll be rolling over and laughing and growing out of their carseats!
Oh my, they're tiny, but cute!
Blessings on your double-dip New Year!
You guys are the best parents!

Bridge,
They are adorable. Congrats to you and Chris on so many levels (precious babies, graduate degree, new assignment).
Can't wait to meet them in person!
