y we arrived home from our week in St. Augustine, Florida. The girls had their very first vacation with their Mommy and Daddy, and their Aunt Robin and Cousin Caitlin. I'm pretty sure the girls grew 5 months in just one week! Savannah is getting so much hair on her head, and both Madeline and Savannah are standing up straight when lifted up, and reaching and playing with their feet and toes when laying down. They are getting so strong. They also went through a major growth spurt food-wise...wanted to eat non-stop! Savannah in particular starting really, really noticing food. Every time we'd eat, she'd eye that food like she wanted a bite! We got some funny pics of Robin pretending to give Savannah some pizza and a coke! She was ready! They both also just started sitting up - greatly leaning forward - but sitting up on their own. They tumble over after about 3 seconds, but it is incredibly cute while it lasts! Most all of these milestones just happened while on vacation!! My little munchkins are growing so fast...but I must say, this is my favorite part yet. They are so cute when they "talk". They are so sweet when they smile. And to see their eyes light up at every new discovery just melts my heart in two!
Last week while at the beach, they experienced a lot of firsts: swimming, mini-golf, eating out (ok, not a first, but they did that a lot!), umbrella strollers (there was no way we were going to fit their double stroller in the car with everything and everyone else), strolling through historic downtown St. Augustine, salty air, and the beach. They loved it all! They did so well. The Lil Nursery tent worked out GREAT. I
would highly recommend it to anyone looking to have a relaxing time out in the sun without having to go inside for nap time or to get the baby out of the sun. The loved it, and it was so cool and breezy inside! It was perfect. It was also so wonderful having Robin and Caitlin there to enjoy all of these special moments with us, and to have their help when we needed it! Both are absolutely fantastic with the girls.
