Just Pray

Over the last few weeks, Chris and I have just died at how sweet it is to hear our girls now pray at the dinner table.  We've prayed with them over their meals before they could even try to speak, and now, they will fold their little hands, smile the biggest smile, and say very softly "Dear Je-sus, Dank yoo so my sood. Aw-may-n!"

The other night before bedtime the girls were saying their night night prayers and prayed for Jennifer, my niece Caitlin's mom who has breast cancer.  She is heavy in our thoughts and minds and prayers, and this time, the girls wanted to pray for her.  They said "Dear Je-sus, Cay Cay's mommy, sick. Better! Aw-mayn!"

So this morning, I'm awfully sick with the crud.  Ugh.  Chris has kept the girls in the other parts of the house, leaving me locked up in our room.  He just came in and said they were playing and just stopped and prayed "Dear Je-sus, Mommy sick. Feel better. And Dank yoo so my sood. Aw-may-n!"

Could there possibly BE anything more sweeter than that??

Nope there really isn't. I love that my daughter prays for Mickey Mouse at night. It's just something a sweet little 3 year old would do.

God listens closely to those little prayers. They rank right up there with "the effectual prayer of the righteous availeth much." Love their sweet hearts!
