The time has come. I imagine this is what it feels like if we one day cave in and buy a mini-van....all of the changes that come from parenthood. The once "our things" or "this is how I like to decorate.." are now really "their things" and "time to compromise on the house decorating" based on the safety and convenience and fun times/happiness of our children.
The girls are not yet crawling, but they roll everywhere. Absolutely everywhere! I will walk into the kitchen only to turn around and find one of the girls has rolled all the way under her bouncer seat and is stuck! Or, one will roll from her blanket over to the couch. Madeline is definitely trying to crawl I must say. She puts her head down and plows forward, then with her butt up in the air and head down, she'll just twist her body and just fall over onto her back. And then laugh hysterically. As then do I....It is hilarious!
We have stairs in our living room. Stairs that lead straight down to the front door with all of its hard tile flooring at the entrance. Finally Chris and I decided it was time to break down and get the gate up.

Just wait... one day, when you are old and senile and living with your kids, they will put gates up to keep you from falling down the stairs!
What you won't do to protect that precious cargo. Yes, I think a mini van is in your future...Although the Pilot is working out pretty good!
